BRIGHTON

Since I discovered the wonders of Zoella in 2013, I always wanted to visit the seaside town all my favourite YouTubers seemed to love so much. In 2018, a dream became a reality as I packed my bags and left my little village in Scotland for a new adventure in a city on the south coast of England. I fell in love with the city and all its quirks and is now somewhere I really can call home.

Sunsets

When I moved to Brighton, I felt very unsettled for a very long time as I found it difficult to make friends as someone who was only 17 during Fresher's Week. As part of my course, I got to do photography and since I was very much self-taught, I realised I had A LOT to learn! I started spending more and more time taking photos around the city and started to feel a sense of peace when I was photographing the sunset. It became a regular thing where I would head down to the beach with my camera and hot chocolate and watch as the sun disappeared into the sea and I began improving and started seeing the world differently. I also developed a great appreciation for them as there was never a sunset that was the same.

For the rest of my time in Brighton, any time I felt stressed or down, I would grab my camera and head to the beach to watch the sunset. It is something I miss being in Norfolk, however, I know that I'll be able to visit Brighton again and see what type of sunset awaits.
